Matsa 100 Miler MTB Race @ HAP & TAP

2023 marks the 4th edition of the MATSA100Miler. So you think you have what it takes to conquer the MATSA?
 
With a well-planned approach, it’s a very achievable challenge. The Matsa100Miler will start at “HAP & TAP” Pub in Bloemfontein. The distance is relatively brief 164 kilometers which traverses through the topography of the Free State and Northern Cape which include district roads. The route isn’t technical, but challenges riders due to the ruggedness of the terrain and a few hills to overcome. The full distance race starts with a flat section. Riders will then make their way to Petrusburg, down and over the Modderiver. A long “drag” and a few climbs awaits the rider that will separate riders from each other in to the finish at Route 64 Kimberley(Gum Tree Lodge)
 
This MATSA is open to solo participants, as well as relay teams that consist out of four (4) riders, and relay teams of two (2) riders which will ride a distance of 80km each. The objective of this 100 Mile Challenge is to turn it into an experience which left the riders and guests with a lasting memory, also to create a fun, memorable experience. This Challenge will provide a platform where pro riders can challenge one another, while still catering for the masses who are enthusiastic, hobbyist riders. Gravel Bikes is allowed, and will be in contention for podiums. The aim is to raise funds for Alzheimers South Africa.

• PRIZE MONEY for top finishers
• Race medals to all finishers
• Adequately stocked waterpoints
• Professional Photographers along the route
• Professional medical personnel will be on the route to handle any emergencies as well as at the finish.
• Medical Air Support will be on standby for extreme emergencies.
• Live entertainment throughout the day to further set the mood.
• Fully stocked fridges with a ice-cold beer or another beverage of your choice.
