After major back surgery, I was transported by Emer-G-Med from Medicity Gariep to KimMed Rehab Hospital (both in Kimberley). On arrival at KimMed, one ambulance attendant got out to talk to KimMed’s security guard, who was standing outside the hospital. The other ambulance attendant pulled out the ambulance bed by himself. Although the back legs of the bed opened, the front legs did not; leaving the bed, with me on it, to crash onto the concrete
