    Hackathons are a great place to learn, meet new people, be innovative/creative, socially active, make a difference and build some really cool stuff.
    You don’t want to miss #SKAHack.
     
    The hackathon will focus on building mobile apps, web applications, liberate data and finding more ways in which the SKA can impact people at large.
    Are you ready for the mission?
     
    After 36 of hacking, stakeholders of the SKAHack will put structures and platforms to support (Technical and Business Development) outstanding innovation from the hackathon. Solutions will also continue at the NCDevHack.
     
    The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is a radio telescope to be built in South Africa and Australia which will have a total collecting area of approximately one square kilometre.
     
    A hackathon can be considered as a marathon of hacking (ethically) to solve social and economical challenges. SKAHack hackathon will be hacking solutions for SKA Knowlodge and explore ways on how the SKA will impact our lives as we know it. The Northern Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDaT) is on a quest growing the ICT/Entrepreneurship scene in the province.
     
    The SKAHack will unearth Innovation and give rise to new entrepreneurs and activists in establishing a smart and an inclusive province. Through a theme “SKA Knowledge”, the hackathon will gather developers, entrepreneurs, designers, data scientists and public representatives together to build civic tech while realizing socio-economic value.
