Fresh jazz act to light up the stage at Bar 129.
 
One of South Africa’s freshest and fast-rising jazz acts, Luanga Choba, brings her special, soothing blend of contemporary jazz to Flamingo Casino’s Bar 129 on Saturday, 21 March 2015. She is one of a number of new bands to find a platform to perform at the venue during the casino’s birthday month.
Music fans can look forward to a delightful evening of afro-centric influence and charm with the captivating performer. Kimberley born and raised, now living in Rustenburg, Luanga has always had a passion for music and the art of expression through song. However, her journey towards her career in music has been a long and winding one. From an early age she showed musical promise but detoured into studying medicine before finally acknowledging where her heart lay.
 
Luanga eventually entered the music scene in 2012 and in under a year she managed to establish her own label, Xhimvani Records, and penned and released her 14 track album, “LuangaWho?”.
