    Be inspired by Deekamo
End January 2016 on an uplifting note with an inspiring evening of entertainment by Deekamo at Flamingo’s Bar 129 on Saturday, 30 January 2016 from 21h00. Entrance is R100 per person. Versatile and interactive, Deekamo plays an inspiring mix of afro soul, R&B, reggae and pop music. The Deekamo band members have been performing together for over a decade, after beginning their musical journey at school where they were first identified as natural entertainers. Their love and passion for music and art continued until high school where they became part of Kimberley Children’s Choir and performed with other local bands.

After matriculating, the members of Deekamo went to Pretoria to further their studies in music and they enrolled at Orchrim School of Music. While there, Deekamo worked and shared a stage with the likes of Themba Mkhize, Simphiwe Dana, Lindelane Mkhize, Ringo Madlingozi and Judith Sephuma.

After completing their music studies where they majored in voice, they went on to work in Pretoria State Theatre with Nompumelelo Paul Grootboom, where they featured in different musical productions, one of the biggest being “Interracial”, which was performed around SA and went on earn acclaim in Europe, Vienna and Austria.
