Amageza Rally 2015

The Amageza Rally is one of the biggest off-road rallies in Africa and a seeding race for the Dakar.

The Course will run from Kimberley (Gariep Motors Kimberley) in the Northern Cape from the 29th of August 2015 to Southern / Central Botswana and Springbok in Namaqualand, Northern Cape Province, then return to Kimberley (Gariep Motors Kimberley) on the 5th of September 2015. (Approximately 4911km)

In this fifth year, the 2015 Amageze Rallye will cover over 4000km (2500 miles), from the capital city of the Northern Cape of South Africa – Kimberley. Over 7 full length rally race days through South Africa and Botswana, before returning back to Kimberley.

Gariep Motors Kimberley (Jeep) will host the start and finish of the 2015 Amageza Rally, with special V.I.P Guests, participants of the rally, Ministers of Botswana, (Minister of Tourism and Wildlife, Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture) and South Africa as well as top clients.

Scrutinizing and presentations limited to motorcycle and selective categories of rally cars, pre-race documentations, vehicle and competitor scutineering, briefings and presentations run from 08:00 to 21:00 on the 29th of August 2015 at the 2015 Amageza Rally opening bivouac at Gariep Motors Kimberley, 112 Long Street, Kimberley.

While specific overnight bivouac details will be confirmed closer to the event start date, the 2015 Amageza Rally is currently arranged to follow this route:

Top Motorcycles, Side-by-Side riders and cars from South Africa and Multiple winners from Roof of Africa and participants of the Dakar Rally, who participate in the 2015 Amageza Cross Country Rally, will be hosting here at Gariep Motors Kimberley on the 29th of August 2015. Public are all welcome: Boerewors Rolls, Music and Cold Drink will be available. We regret, there is no parking available on the premises, yet parking is available across the road of Gariep Motors Kimberley.
