5km Fun Run @ Trim Park

Although we are still in August, our September campaign is aimed at the awareness of service dogs.
 
We are very excited to announce the Kimberley Veterinary Clinic "Fun Run in the Dark", organised in conjunction with the Trim Park Entrepreneurs Market.
 
This is a 5km fun run in support of the Guide Dogs Association of South Africa, to create awareness of service dogs and the role they play in people's daily lives.
Louzanne Coetzee, the incredible blind Paralympic athlete will be joining us for the day, accompanied by her very own guide dog, Oakley!
 
But this is no ordinary fun run, for this run we challenge you to run BLINDFOLDED, with a guide of your choice, to experience first-hand a small fraction of what it is like to be differently abled.
 
Keep in mind, blindfolds and running are entirely OPTIONAL, you do not need to be blindfolded in order to take part in the fun run.
 
Everyone is welcome to join the fun!
 
The Fun Run will be on 14 September 2019 at 08:00.
The start and finish line will be at Trim Park.
There after, feel free to take full advantage of what the Trim Park Entrepreneurs Market has to offer.
 
The entry fee is R50.00, but children under 10 walk for free!
Entry forms are available from Kimberley Veterinary Clinic, Kimberley Vet Shop at the Monument Spar Complex and Kimberley Pet Essentials at the New Park Shopping Centre.
There will be a penalty fee for those who enter on the day of the run.
The CLOSING DATE for entries is 30 August 2019. All forms must be returned to Kimberley Veterinary Clinic by then.
 
All those who have completed an entry form will receive a blindfold, excluding chosen guides and children.
All proceeds collected will be going to the Guide Dogs Association of South Africa.
All dogs are welcome to join the fun, as long as they are dog friendly, in a harness and on lead at all times!
 
There are awesome prizes to be won for the first 3 pairs of guides and runners to finish the 5km run.
There will also be a lucky draw!
