Newton Primary School

Academics are the heart of our school. Each learner must Mathematics, English and Afrikaans Matric. The learning areas carries great weight. In Mathematics our quarterly participate to Nautilus in Bloemfontein. Our school in 2009 in grades 4-7 the first three positions in Northern Cape Amesa Mathematics competition.
 
The school is also enriching mathematics classes. With the result that we have all three learners have produced “national colors” in Mathematics. Deon Du Plessis and Lourens v Niekerk has worldwide Mathematics competitions.
From Grade 4-7 learners English and English First Language. So they will be equipped for the High School and University.
Candidates qualify for Top 10 Academic colors from Gr. 4-7. The top academic learners should also on an academic tour.
All learners achieving 80% or better, qualify for the academic award of the school.
Students in merit classes tuition. Gifted learners are given more challenging work and the weaker learners better capturing and remediation.
