Their performance usually varies between two to three sets. Starting with ballads, S.M.S always creates that perfect atmosphere. With soulful harmonies, unique vocals and distinct choreography, S.M.S never seizes to serenade their audience. With the second set, the mid-tempo grooves will have you snapping your fingers and tapping your toes. They have the ability to take their audience down memory lane with old and new school sounds which sets a platform for the third set (also known as the party set). This set takes the performance to another level that will leave even the sad and depressed, happy and fulfilled. S.M.S is a favourite amongst other bands and always exceeds the expectations of the client. Soul Music Sensations performs locally and nationally and have shared a stage with the likes of Lira, Garth Taylor, Bianca Le Grange, Miriam Makeba, Mafikizolo, HHP, Sipho ‘hotstix’ Mabuse, Simphiwe Dana, Kabelo, Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels, Judith Sephuma, Zonke, Kurt Darren, Crushanda Forbes, Lefa Pike, Kelly Fortuin, Simphiwe Gwegwe and Liquideep to name only a few.
Brenda Fassie – Weekend, Promises, Zahara – Loliwe, Umthwalo, Tracy Chapman – Sorry, MiCasa – Heavenly sent are just some of the songs that they cover
SMS’s resume include performances at: Diamonds and dorings festival – 2012, Kirk Franklin & Joyous Celebrations – 2013 and they represented team South Africa at the World Championships performing arts in Los Angeles in July 2014 (just to mention a few).
All the guys are great on vocals but each possess the skill to play an instrument from keyboard, drums, bass guitar and guitar.
