Williston Winterfees 2014

Touted as the most authentic cultural festival in South Africa, the Williston Winter Festival is a unique event that draws crowds to the Northern Cape Karoo at the start of every spring.
If you’re heading Karoo-wards to enjoy the wildflowers, you’d do well to tie in your plans with the Williston Winter Festival for an unforgettable South African cultural experience.
Entertainment includes a variety of local and well known talents, and there will be plenty of stalls selling delicious Karoo food. But the highlight of the whole event is the dust-raising Nama Riel dance, performed by over 100 ‘rieldancers’.
This year will also showcase award winning South African artists Nianell, Dozi, Nicholis Louw and Brandon October. Local children taking part in Karoo sport and the wonderful Williston Stoftrappers performing music from this area. 
The festival takes place in the well known tourist attraction “The Williston Mall” and will surely be the most unique festival backdrop.
The festival celebrates the fascinating, unique talents, customs and landscape of the Northern Cape Karoo.
