Date: 06 March 2015
Venue: Bar 129Flamingo Casino proudly welcomes SA Idols 2014 winner, Vincent Bones, to its stage for the first time on Friday, 6 March 2015.
The talented young performer, who became a household name after triumphing in the hotly-contested reality TV show, will kick off the Casino’s 13th Birthday Celebrations with an intimate concert for his fans at Bar 129. He takes to the stage at 21h00, and entrance is just R50 per person.
Lameez Suliman, the PR & Promotions Manager at Flamingo Casino says: “We are excited to give Vincent a platform to perform live for his Kimberley fans in March. This being his first-ever show at the casino, we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us. We are expecting a fantastic turn-out and advise fans to arrive early.”
The 29-year-old singer’s inspiring life story touched many South Africans during the audition phase of the tenth season of the popular talent competition. After his mom and uncle passed away, Vincent left Eldorado Park on a train at the tender age of 12 to become a street kid in Sunnyside. A stint in Boys Town however turned his life around and he now works as a worship leader at the Eagle Christian Centre in Pietermaritzburg, the city where he currently lives with his wife and their baby boy.
Vincent describes his musical style as “old school R&B, retro-soul”.
“I love the old stuff, like Teddy Pendergrass,” he says. “So even if I don’t know the song, I get the meaning behind it and interpret it my own way.”
Vincent is a talented musician and is able to play piano, drums, base and saxophone. Fans are in for a truly entertaining evening with the Idols star.Shortlink for this post: https://www.kimberley.co.za/?p=13853
